Refund & Cancellation Policy
Choose the policy applicable to your appointment. Individual client and professional partnership terms are presented separately below.
Individual Clients
Appointment deposit: A $25 deposit is required to secure an individual appointment request and is applied to the total service fee. Payment does not itself confirm an appointment; Teena Marie Notary will review availability and confirm the date and time by email.
48 hours or more before the confirmed appointment: Cancellations made at least 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund, including the $25 deposit.
Less than 48 hours or no-show: The $25 deposit is forfeited for late cancellations or missed appointments. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may require a new deposit.
Completed services: Completed notarizations and services already performed are generally nonrefundable. Prepaid fees for unused services will be reviewed and refunded where appropriate. If Teena Marie Notary cannot fulfill the appointment due to an issue on our end, all amounts paid for that appointment, including the deposit, will be refunded.
Refund requests: Email teenamarienotary@gmail.com with your name, appointment date, and reason for cancellation. Please contact us within three calendar days of the original payment when possible; this request window does not eliminate your right to a refund for a qualifying cancellation made at least 48 hours before the confirmed appointment. Eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible; processing times vary.
Professional Partnerships
For law firms, estate planning practices, and business partners, the following fees may apply after a session has been prepared, including document tagging and witness coordination. Applicable engagement terms take precedence where agreed in writing.
Signer does not attend a confirmed online session.
Incorrect or incomplete documents prevent the signing and a new appointment is required.
A confirmed signing is canceled on the date of the appointment.
Replacement documents provided before the scheduled signing day require previously completed electronic fields to be redone.

A signing is scheduled for Friday at 2:00 PM. The documents have already been tagged. On Thursday, the firm sends a revised package that requires the electronic fields to be tagged again. The $35 re-tagging fee may apply.

A signing is scheduled for Friday at 2:00 PM. The original documents have already been tagged. On Friday morning, the firm sends a replacement package that must be re-tagged urgently. The $50 same-day re-tagging fee may apply.
Final documents arrive fewer than 60 minutes before the appointment and require expedited preparation.
Re-tagging clarification: The $35 and $50 re-tagging fees are alternatives and are not both charged for the same re-tagging event. Minor changes that do not require re-tagging do not automatically trigger either fee.
Billing and refunds: Completed notarizations and preparation work are generally nonrefundable. If services are not delivered because of an issue on the part of Teena Marie Notary, applicable billing adjustments or refunds will be reviewed.
Appointment Confirmation & Preparation Reminders
Applies to individual clients and professional partnerships. Once an appointment is confirmed, Teena Marie Notary sends preparation communications with the confirmed date, time, secure session link, and relevant identity-verification and signing instructions. Please review the instructions and join on time. Receiving a reminder does not waive the cancellation, no-show, or applicable preparation-fee terms above.
Identification Requirements
Have a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport, subject to platform requirements.
Platform & Technology
Use a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone. Google Chrome is recommended. Join 15 minutes early to complete verification.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Please do not send identification photos, Social Security numbers, or sensitive documents through the appointment request form. Contact us for appropriate secure document-sharing instructions.
